UTA Supports “Wreaths Across America.Org” in our Driven2Honor Program! Wreaths Across America Day December 2014.
Wreaths Across America.org is a federally licensed 501(c) 3 charity that raises sponsorship funding each year for real Maine balsam remembrance wreaths to be placed on fallen soldiers gravesites throughout the country and on foreign soil. In 2013 WAA raised funding for over 540,000 such wreaths in over 855 locations in all fifty states. Wreaths are placed voluntarily by over 250,000 volunteers through fundraiser groups such as what we are proudly providing here to UTA members and visitors. All wreaths are voluntarily delivered by truckers and trucking companies to their targeted cemetery destinations. These are the truckers and trucking companies we at UTA know well and are proud to join in their supportive efforts for Wreaths Across America.
Recognized by the federal government as an honor day, The “Wreaths Across America Day” parade of trucks is the largest in the country stemming over five miles long and taking six days to complete from Columbia Falls, Maine to Arlington National Cemetery and the Pentagon. In 2013, nearly 30,000 patriotic volunteers assembled at Arlington to place 142,700 remembrance wreaths. There are over 240,000 such gravesites. Our goal is to assist in placing a wreath on every soldiers gravesite at Arlington. Through our Fans 4 Truckers fundraiser group, we can join our friends in the trucking industry to support a worthy cause. For more inspiring information, Click Here
