The Jerome Nerman Family Foundation

The Used Truck Association is pleased to award these scholarships on behalf of the Nerman Family and the membership of the UTA and we're excited to announce that we added an additional scholarship this year. That means twelve students will be rewarded with a scholarship this year. We have adjusted the number of scholarships in each category, recognizing the importance of our industry's future.

  • Six $6,000 scholarships for full-time students at accredited colleges/universities
  • Six $6,000 scholarships for full-time students at accredited vocational-technical institutions, focusing on diesel mechanics and/or bodywork

This is a one-time award. Successful candidates are NOT eligible to reapply, but applicants not chosen may reapply for future consideration. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student and only fully completed applications will be considered. Each scholarship is awarded directly to the recipient's school. Winners are selected by an independent college board of admissions panel. Recipients will be notified by phone and formally announced in the UTA Industry Watch newsletter and at the 25th Annual UTA Convention in November, 2024.

Candidates are evaluated on their academic success, school and community activities, work accomplishments (if applicable), and references.
