ANOTHER GREAT SUCCESS

The Used Truck Association’s annual Kansas City Reception & Golf Event once again demonstrated why it has become one of the most anticipated gatherings of the year for our members.

More than 200 UTA members, sponsors, and industry partners attended the reception on Wednesday evening, while 120 golfers teed it up Thursday morning for a beautiful day on the course. This year’s reception began at 4:00 p.m. and concluded around 7:00 p.m., providing attendees plenty of time to reconnect with industry friends, make new connections, and support an incredible cause.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and attendees, approximately $45,000 was raised during the event. All proceeds will benefit the Nerman Family Foundation Scholarship Fund, which will award 12 scholarships this year to deserving students pursuing their educational goals.

During the reception, Lewis Nerman spoke on behalf of the Nerman Family Foundation and expressed his gratitude for the continued support of the UTA membership. Lewis reflected on the foundation’s humble beginnings, noting that in its first year, only one scholarship was awarded. This year, thanks to the generosity of our members and sponsors, 12 students will each receive a $6,000 scholarship.

We were also fortunate to enjoy outstanding weather for both the reception and golf tournament. The sunshine and mild temperatures provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable event and a great day of golf.

A special thank you goes to Kaylee and Angela from the UTA management team, along with Laura Carter, for their tireless dedication and hard work in organizing this event. Their commitment behind-the-scenes helps make this gathering something our members look forward to year after year.

Your participation not only strengthens our industry relationships but also helps provide educational opportunities for the next generation through the Nerman Family Foundation Scholarship Program.
