The UTA held the first fall TWOK Fishing Event on October 2^nd through the 4^th at the Open Water Lodge on Lake Tawakoni in East Texas. The event had a great turnout, with 26 people representing 17 companies coming together to enjoy perfect weather and great food and drinks. The only things better than the provisions were the friendships and the feeling of tossing plenty of fish into our boats.

In two mornings on the lake, we caught well over 500 fish including hybrids, stripers, sandies, and catfish. In addition, some lucky fishermen reeled in a shell, bungee cord, and several logs.

Special thanks to Peterbilt’s Jeremi Guditis, Chisam Cain, Josh Roller and Fred Hughes, and Alliance DriveAway’s Bobby Williams for helping with the planning and execution of a memorable couple of days. Special thanks are also owed to Steve Waller from Bendix, who arranged for many of us to enjoy our “haul” by shipping it to our homes.

Based on the response we saw here, you’ll have the opportunity to see this new event turn into an annual tradition. Be sure to look out for it next Fall.
